This delicious caramelized apple toast tastes like fall! It's easy to make and makes for a great breakfast or dessert.

two slices of caramelized apple toast on a plate

What you will need to make the apple toast

    • 2 slices of bread
    • 1 apple of choice (I used honeycrisp)
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • almond butter
    • optional: pumpkin seeds
two slices of apple toast on a plate

    How to make the toast

    • Start by toasting the bread.
    • Cut the apple into small cubes.
    • To a pan, add the maple syrup, coconut oil, cinnamon, and vanilla and stir them well.
    • Add in the apples and cook them for 5-7 minutes, stirring them throughout to make sure they cook on all sides.
    • You can cook them for more or less time, depending on your preference and how caramelized you want them to be.
    • Spread almond butter (or other nut butter of choice) on your toast, top with the caramelized apples, and add some pumpkin seeds for some crunch. Enjoy!
