This delicious caramelized apple toast tastes like fall! It's easy to make and makes for a great breakfast or dessert.
What you will need to make the apple toast
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 apple of choice (I used honeycrisp)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- almond butter
- optional: pumpkin seeds
How to make the toast
- Start by toasting the bread.
- Cut the apple into small cubes.
- To a pan, add the maple syrup, coconut oil, cinnamon, and vanilla and stir them well.
- Add in the apples and cook them for 5-7 minutes, stirring them throughout to make sure they cook on all sides.
- You can cook them for more or less time, depending on your preference and how caramelized you want them to be.
- Spread almond butter (or other nut butter of choice) on your toast, top with the caramelized apples, and add some pumpkin seeds for some crunch. Enjoy!
