Equipment

  • frying pan

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 apple of choice I used honeycrisp
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • almond butter
  • optional: pumpkin seeds

Instructions

  • Start by toasting the bread.
  • Cut the apple into small cubes.
  • To a pan, add the maple syrup, coconut oil, cinnamon, and vanilla and stir them well.
  • Add in the apples and cook them for 5-7 minutes, stirring them throughout to make sure they cook on all sides.
  • You can cook them for more or less time, depending on your preference and how caramelized you want them to be.
  • Spread almond butter (or other nut butter of choice) on your toast, top with the caramelized apples, and add some pumpkin seeds for some crunch.
