If you are looking for a delicious way to spice up your toast, look no further! This peanut butter toast with caramelized bananas is such a delicious treat for breakfast or even as a dessert, and here is how to make it.

    toast with bananas on it

    What you will need

    Caramelized Banana Ingredients

    • 1 banana
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
    • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
    • ¼ teaspoon vanilla

    For Toast

    • 2 pieces of toast
    • peanut butter
    • coconut shreds to top
    toast on a plate

Creating the peanut butter toast with caramelized bananas

    • Start by slicing the banana. I recommend making the slices thick (about ¼"), so that they are easier to flip and do not fall apart.
    • Then add the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla to a pan and mix them well.

    • Add the banana slices to the pan. Make sure you leave enough space in between them, so that they do not stick to each other.

    • Cook the banana about about 3-5 minutes on each side. You can gently lift the bananas with a fork to check how far they have cooked, and flip them when they have caramelized to your liking.
    • Once you are happy with how caramelized the banana are, flip them and cook on the other side.
