Breakfast recipes definitely have a special place in my heart, and they are one of my favorite treats to create. I have been making a ton of pancake and waffle recipes, and I really wanted to have a staple recipe for chocolate waffles because nothing screams "It's the weekend!" like waking up to the smell of some chocolate waffles cooking!
What you will need for your chocolate waffles
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoon cacao or cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup dairy free milk
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla
How to make them
- Combine all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix them well, until you have a thick batter.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of the batter into your waffle maker (more if you are using a larger waffle maker) and cook for several minutes until both sides are slightly crispy.
I made 8 small waffles with this recipe.
