    Chocolate Waffles

    Breakfast recipes definitely have a special place in my heart, and they are one of my favorite treats to create. I have been making a ton of pancake and waffle recipes, and I really wanted to have a staple recipe for chocolate waffles because nothing screams "It's the weekend!" like waking up to the smell of some chocolate waffles cooking!

    What you will need for your chocolate waffles

    • 1 cup flour⁣
    • 2 tablespoon cacao or cocoa powder
    • 2 tablespoon sugar⁣
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder⁣
    • 1 cup dairy free milk⁣
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil⁣
    • ¼ teaspoon vanilla

    melted coconut oil in a measuring cup over a bowl

    How to make them

    • Combine all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix them well, until you have a thick batter.

    • Add 1-2 tablespoons of the batter into your waffle maker (more if you are using a larger waffle maker) and cook for several minutes until both sides are slightly crispy.

    I made 8 small waffles with this recipe.
