Lately I’ve been seeing the whipped coffee trend everywhere, on Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest, basically every social media platform I use! So I had to try it for myself! Not only is it delicious, but it has to be the most fun way to make coffee.
What you need
- 2 tbsp instant coffee
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp hot water
- dairy free milk
- ice
There are only a few ingredients required for whipped coffee: instant coffee, sugar, water, and milk.
To make a great whipped coffee, you need to stir vigorously for a long time, and I didn't feel like doing that. I used a hand mixer instead. It makes it so creamy and delicious that way too.
I also used a dairy free milk. I love unsweetened soy milk because I find that it’s the creamiest plant based milk.
Finally, I added some melted dark chocolate and peanuts to make it more fun☺️
How to make it:
Once you have all of your ingredients, it’s a pretty easy process.
Add two tablespoons of instant coffee, two tablespoons of sugar, and two tablespoons of hot water (make sure it's hot!).
Use your hand mixer to blend them- this will take at least 3-5 minutes of mixing. The longer you mix, the more fluffy it will become.
Once your coffee has reached the consistency you desire, set it aside.
Add ice to your cup or mason jar, add your dairy free milk, and pour the whipped coffee on top.
Mix the coffee well with the milk.
And that's all there is too it! I melted some chocolate on top and added some peanuts as well. Feel free to do that or even add some cocoa for a little more chocolatey taste 🙂
I have made a video of the whole process that you can check out below.
