Sometimes I love creating intricate recipes that have many steps, but other times I love a good old simple recipe that takes less than fifteen minutes to make and leaves you with an absolutely delicious healthy treat! These banana bites are the latter.
What you will need to make these easy banana bites
- 2 bananas
- peanut butter
- 1 bar of dark chocolate
- optional: flakey salt
How to make them
- Start by slicing the bananas. Make each slice about ¼ inch thick.
- Add peanut butter to half of the banana slices. Top them with the remaining bananas. Place the banana bites on a baking tray and put them in the freezer while you melt the chocolate.
- Break up one bar of chocolate into small pieces. Place the chocolate bar in a microwave safe dish and microwave in 30 second increments, until the chocolate is fully melted.
- Remove the banana bites from the fridge and dip one half of the banana bites into the melted chocolate. Place each chocolate covered banana bite back on the baking tray and repeat this for every banana bite.
- Optional: top the chocolate part of the bites with flakey salt.
This recipe is best eaten right away, since the bananas can turn brown with exposure to air.
