Jump to Recipe

This easy baked tofu is something that I meal prep every single week. I add to it to so many different kinds of Buddha bowls, or any other kind of simple lunch or dinner meals. It’s the perfect recipe to make in bulk on a Sunday, and combine it with some carbs and veggies to have your meals prepared for the whole week. I can never get sick of it because there are so many ways to enjoy it!

What you will need

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 16oz block of firm tofu
  • 3 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • whatever sauce you like to pair it with
How to make your easy baked tofu

Start by draining the excess water from your tofu. Then use a kitchen towel or paper towel to pat the tofu down and get rid of extra moisture.

Next, slice your tofu into small cubes. The size of these is up to you.

In a bowl, add the corn starch, salt, garlic powder, and pepper and mix them well.

Take each tofu cube and cover it in the corn starch mixture. Then line it on a baking sheet.

Once all of the tofu cubes are ready, bake the tofu for 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit / 232 degrees Celsius.

After 20 minutes, take out the tofu and dip each cube into whatever sauce you like that pairs well with your meal. I was making a Thai inspired Buddha bowl, so I covered my tofu in Thai peanut sauce. If you don’t want any additional flavor, you can totally skip this step.

Once you have added the sauce or dip to your tofu, put them back on the baking sheet and bake for another 20 minutes.

Add them to the rest of your meal and enjoy 🙂
