Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix store bought
  • 1 cup dairy free milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 12 oz white chocolate amount can vary based on the chocolate you use. I used about 12 oz, but it's always easier if you melt more rather than less.
  • 2-3 tablespoon vanilla frosting store bought. Check the label to make sure that it's vegan, but most store bought frosting is.
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, dairy free milk, and applesauce.
  • Grease a pan, pour the cake batter, and bake the cake according to the box instructions.
  • After the cake has baked, let it cool for about 30 minutes.
  • After the cake has cooled, use your fingers to crumble it apart.
  • Add about 2-3 tablespoons of vanilla frosting to the mix and combine it well. To test if you have added enough frosting, try forming a ball and if it sticks together, you have added enough frosting. If it falls apart and is crumbly, add a little more frosting.
  • Form balls about 1 inch in diameter until you are out of cake.
  • Place the cake pops in the fridge while you melt your chocolate.
  • Melt your chocolate either in the microwave, over the store, or in a chocolate melting machine if you have one.
  • Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate and roll it around with a fork until it is fully covered in chocolate.
  • Use a fork to gently remove the cake pop and place it on a pan lined with parchment paper or foil.
  • Repeat the last two steps until you have covered all of your cake pops in chocolate.
  • You can drizzle the remaining chocolate on your cake pops and add sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate the cake pops until the chocolate has hardened.
  • Enjoy :)
