If you are looking for a delicious way to spice up your toast, look no further. This caramelized banana toast is a delicious treat for breakfast or even as a dessert.
Start by slicing the banana. I recommend making the slices thick (about ¼"), so that they are easier to flip and do not fall apart.
Add the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla to a pan and mix them well.
Add the banana slices to the pan. Make sure you leave enough space in between them, so that they do not stick to each other.
Cook the banana about about 3-5 minutes on each side. You can gently lift the bananas with a fork to check how far they have cooked, and flip them when they have caramelized to your liking.
Once you are happy with how caramelized the banana are, flip them and cook on the other side.
Slice and toast the bread and add the peanut butter.
Add the caramelized banana slices and top with some coconut shreds.
