Equipment

  • popsicle molds
  • popsicle sticks
  • blender

Ingredients

  • watermelon
  • dairy free yogurt
  • chocolate chips
  • kiwi

Instructions

  • You will start creating your popsicles with the first layer, which is the watermelon. To start, cut up half of a watermelon and scoop out the insides.
  • Then throw them in a blender. Add the blended up watermelon to your popsicle mold and fill it to about ¾ of the mold. Do this for all of your popsicles.
  • Then I like to add chocolate chips to look like watermelon seeds. If you don'y like watermelon and chocolate together, you could also use blueberries to do this. Or, you could leave that part out altogether.
  • Next, you will need to freeze the popsicles. You can't add the next layer without freezing them, because all of the ingredients will blend together.
  • Once the watermelon layer is frozen, take out the popsicles and add the yogurt layer. This layer should be about ¼ inch thick. Freeze the popsicles again after this.
  • Finally comes the outer layer of the "watermelon". For this, blend up a few kiwis in a blender. Then add a layer of blended kiwi to each popsicle until it reaches the top of the mold.
  • Now add your popsicle stick and freeze the popsicles one last time.
  • Once they are frozen, you have some delicious and refreshing watermelon popsicles :)
